Just Nuts about Nuts

Up ’N’ Mellow was founded as a premium brand and product range of ready-to-eat nut and fruit porridges that you won’t find anywhere else on the market. All of our instant porridges are nut-based, handmade, vegan and lactose-free. The brand’s founder Monique says: "The idea came about when I became nostalgic for peanut porridge, my favourite porridge as a child growing up in Jamaica. After shopping around and not being able to find it, I decided to create my own instant nut-based recipes that everyone can enjoy on the go." Being lactose intolerant, Monique also wanted to create a range of instant nut porridges that are dairy free and vegan as well as steeped in her Jamaican heritage.

Our Journey of Plant-based Porridge Perfection

Established in 2022. Our instant nut porridge range is inspired by the native Jamaican Peanut Porridge, a tasty and healthy homestyle breakfast that is renowned as a luxury dish. The traditional Jamaican Peanut Porridge is prepared from scratch on a stove/cooker with ingredients including peanuts, oats, spices, condensed milk and sugar.

Having captured the flavours and goodness of the traditional Jamaican homestyle Peanut Porridge, we have taken things a notch higher by creating an original Instant Peanut Porridge recipe that will fuel you on-the-go anytime of the day.

Still yearning for something more (and just as special), we've then spiced things up with our delicious original recipes for Instant Cashew Nut, Almond Nut, Pecan Nut and Walnut porridges.

And still, we have taken things to yet another level with our variety of nuts and fruit instant porridges, by adding a burst of fruity goodness to all our nut porridges with our dried mango pieces.

We have 10 different flavours of organic instant porridges on offer. Our variety of products is authentic, tasty and nutritious. All made from natural, plant-based ingredients and are sources of fibre and/or protein. They are easy to prepare - just add boiling water and they'll be ready in 2 minutes! With no added milk, they are suitable for those with an allergy to dairy and vegans.
